5. FACILITIES, MERCHANDISE, AND FREEBIES
5.1 What facilities are available for use during parties?
There are two spacious indoor jacuzzis. If both jacuzzis are vacant, you
may have a choice of water temperatures; be sure to ask. Adjacent to the
jacuzzi entrances is a large shower, where you are expected to wash off
before going in. (Your lady may enter the shower with you; that can be fun
in itself!)
A small outdoor swimming pool surrounded with a wooden deck is also
available. Swimsuits are optional. Be careful, though: if your skin is
light, you can be sunburned in minutes out in the Nevada desert!
No, don't ask: sex is NOT allowed in the jacuzzis or swimming pool!
One room, called the VIP room, is more attractively decorated than the
standard ladies' rooms. It also contains a waterbed, mirrored ceiling, and
a
"sex chair" that allows unusual sexual positions.
Use of any of these facilities is expensive. For example, most of the
ladies
are unwilling to include a trip to the jacuzzi in any party costing less
than
$400. The VIP room is only available to customers spending unusually high
hourly amounts.
5.2 You've mentioned "the bar" a couple of times...what bar?
The Leghorn Bar and Lounge is adjacent to the Chicken Ranch. It includes
a
well-stocked bar, a pool table, and a jukebox. You can buy drinks with cash
or purchase drink tokens. The drink tokens are reminiscent of the shiny
metal dollar slot machine tokens that Las Vegas casinos use, and they make
nice souvenirs.
Sometimes customers wind up waiting here briefly while the ladies finish
eating dinner, or while a friend (or a lady they wish to party with)
finishes
partying. If you don't drink, the shift manager or guard running the bar
will be happy to give you a free soft drink while you wait. You may also
request a free soft drink from your lady at the time you pay her, or from
the
lady or shift manager just before you leave. This can be especially
refreshing if you tend to be thirsty after sex!
5.3 What other freebies can I get if I'm partying with a lady?
Some of the ladies have attractive 2" by 3.5" souvenir cards with their
names, which they will give you for free.
You may also request a free menu from the lady or shift manager. The usual
$5 price is usually waived for customers.
If you bring an autograph book, you can have your lady sign it after your
party. (That's how I remembered all the names of the ladies I've partied
with!) Or you may ask her to autograph her card or the menu.
5.4 What freebies can I get if I'm NOT partying with a lady?
All visitors may pick up a copy of the current Chicken Ranch Newsletter,
IF
one is available. The four-page, glossy newsletter describes the
merchandise, facilities, limousine service, and background/history of the
Chicken Ranch. It is published only once every couple of years.
Also try requesting a free tour. If the Chicken Ranch is not too busy,
someone may be willing to take a few minutes to show you the facilities and
artifacts from the original Chicken Ranch in La Grange, Texas. The shift
manager will probably be more amenable to giving you a tour if you are at
least buying some souvenirs.
5.5 What is the menu?
The menu is a tiny 5.5" by 5.5" booklet describing the history of the
Chicken
Ranch and some of the sexual services available there. There are no prices
listed. (Exception: in order to dissuade customers from haggling, some of
the ladies write prices in the menus they show to customers.) The menu's
price is $5.
5.6 What other merchandise is available?
Several other souvenirs are on display in the parlor. These include various
types of shirts, caps, drinking glasses, water bottles, ashtrays, mugs,
etc.,
all with the Chicken Ranch logo (a broken egg shell with shapely legs
provocatively extended from within). As mentioned earlier, you can also buy
drink tokens for the Leghorn Bar. Each drink token is good for one regular
alcoholic beverage, but they also make excellent souvenirs.
